Kids 3D-Hood Raincoat (919)

A one-piece EVA raincoat for children, with a moulded 3D animal hood, a detachable clear face visor and long cuffed sleeves. The whole garment (not just the fabric swatch) was tested by a CMA-accredited, CNAS-recognised lab: fabric and seams both held above 180 kPa against a 120 kPa requirement, and every one of the eight measured items passed.

Children’s rainwear gets judged in a way adult rainwear does not. A parent looks at the hood first, then at whether the child can see out, then at whether the thing will survive a term of being stuffed into a school bag. The 919 is built around those three: a moulded 3D animal hood that holds its shape instead of collapsing over the eyes, a clear visor that clips off when it is not raining, and long cuffed sleeves that stop water running down the forearms onto the handlebars.

What makes it worth quoting to a buyer is the test file. Most rainwear reports measure a swatch of fabric. This one measured the finished garment: report 2611670453 from Zhejiang Fangyuan Testing Group, CMA-accredited and CNAS-recognised. Water resistance was taken across the fabric and again at the seams, and both came back above 180 kPa against a 120 kPa requirement: the seams matter because a welded raincoat almost always fails there first. Breaking strength read 104 N along the length and 129 N across the width against a 30 N minimum, seam bond 36 N, and elongation at break 736 % and 614 %. Eight items measured, eight passed.

Four sizes cover 80 to 140 cm of child height, with cloth length running 58 / 67 / 75 / 83 cm and chest 42 / 44 / 46 / 48 cm. Six hood characters are in production. One honest caveat: this is a Chinese-standard report. Selling children’s outerwear into the United States additionally requires a CPSIA Children’s Product Certificate and compliance with the hood and neck drawstring rule, and neither is covered here: tell us the destination market and we will quote that testing separately rather than let you assume it is done.

The finished raincoat. Report 2611670453 lists the sample as a children’s raincoat, model 919, and measures water resistance at the seams as well as across the fabric: both came back above 180 kPa against a 120 kPa requirement.

Which sizes are available and how do they map to a child’s height?

Four sizes. S fits 80–95 cm, M fits 95–110 cm, L fits 110–125 cm and XL fits 125–140 cm. Cloth length runs 58 / 67 / 75 / 83 cm and chest 42 / 44 / 46 / 48 cm across those four sizes.

Is this ready to sell into the United States?

Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. Children’s outerwear sold in the US needs a CPSIA Children’s Product Certificate based on CPSC-accepted lab testing, and the hood and neck area must satisfy the drawstring rule (16 CFR 1120 / ASTM F1816).
