Family Rain Poncho (2-3 riders)

On a wet school run the child rides in front, which is exactly where the rain lands. That is the problem this poncho is shaped around. The front panel extends forward over the handlebars into a wide shield with a clear window in it, so the child stays inside the dry envelope and the rider can still read the dash and see the road. Two detachable brims sit above the visor and keep water off the face without narrowing the field of view.

The body is the same 277.3 kPa PVC as the covers: heat-pressed seams, no needle holes, and a lotus-effect surface that sheds water in beads instead of soaking. Report XSJC2205262254 from a CMA-accredited lab covers it: thirteen measured items, thirteen passes, including 241 N warp and 153 N weft tensile load and grade 4 surface colour fastness. Mirror sleeves are optional; distributors serving markets with wide-mirror scooters generally take the sleeved version, and the sleeveless one goes to markets where bikes are narrower.

Five colours are in production: khaki, orange, purple, pink and blue. Print, colourway, hem colour and packaging can all be changed for a private-label programme, since the pattern is printed on the film before the garment is welded rather than applied afterwards.
